hey guys after clicking thru 63 pages of clan-enrollment ads on the official ea site - I have decided to register here because your rules and attitude seem the most fitting and logical to me however I am wondering if this is the right place for me since I "only" have a ps3 and am "only" interested in playing BFBC2 (well I just moved and dont have a dsl connection for the next 2 weeks but its coming back...) - and Im planning to "only" play BF3 from when it comes out as well... Im an engineer who is looking for some real tactical gaming out there... one man drives the tank - another one on the 50cal watching the rear - two more behind it - repairing, healing and mining... thats an example of how I imagine a good game... an untouchable team if you will... I have been a real soldier for four years so its kind of important to me to mainly look for each others back and leave no one behind - no matter the cost - in reality as well as in the game... long story short my question is - (since this is a multi-platform multi-game page - are there a lot of BF players here? - regards phil

Phil
Thanks for applying, we do have a lot of PS3 players and primarily we are playing BFBC2 and plan on putting a lot of time into BF3, so I think you've hit the right place. Several of us play BFBC2 just about every night, in a couple off different time slots. Typically you can find FOX players on from 9pm -2am CST through out most of the week. What times are your normal playing times?
As you can expect with an older clan we are more team oriented and less self-focused, part of the appeal of the BF series.
My PSN is Taboocustoms. If you are able to get on anytime soon. Please add me and we will get some games in.
What branch of the military were/are you in? What's your MOS?

that sounds just great guys... thanks for the quick reply Im german and have served the german armed forces - and believe it or not - I was a real engineer once didnt quiet have a magical repair tool thou... well this I think also answers your next question - I live in CET so Im six hours "ahead" of you... but on weekend - as soon as my ps3 is hooked up once again - Im planning to put in quiet some time especially when BF3 is out... so I think that wouldnt be a big problem my psn is also pr5point0 - unfortunately - as I wrote it will most likely take about two weeks until I can join multiplayer matches again - but ill add you as soon as Im back online! Im looking forward to finally play in a professional and mature squad! do you have many foreign players? and when was the clan founded? regards phil

Fox Clan has been around about 2 years....we were a smaller part of a Wii only gaming clan since 2008, but in mid/late 2009 became Fox and then separated to become our own gaming clan.
Cant say we have a so called foreign member..but we all probably have PS3 friends that are from all over...there's a guy from Argentina that joins us often...
Fox isn't restricted by location...mainly just by time, I mean since we are smaller it's nice to have our players on at around the same time so we can play together...

sure that makes sense... well I could imagine that the time issue in my case would be difficult on workdays - but on weekend - lets see you wrote 9pm to 2am - so over here thats 3pm to 8pm (and I imagine it often doesent stop just then... ) I think that could work out - thanks for the heads up - Ill be sure to add you and join a few matches once Im back online and you guys are still interested!

What's up!
Good to hear from someone out of the states. I'm not "foreign", but I assume that I'm the only hispanic. ;D
As far as what you're looking for, these guys like to play that particular style that you mentioned. When I squad with them on SDM I'm usually the lone Rambo while they group up. That "tactic" seems to work out best since I can hold my own alone and we reduce the ammount of sidelines/group deaths. It may appear as if I'm a CoD style player, but I play the team roll very well when using recon/engineer, so I hope we can squad up soon.
When you get back online add me. theKREATER
What mode do you prefer?

thanks guys - Ill add all of you as soon as Im back! well sure the one-man-army tactic goes quiet well sometimes... In my experience its even necessary to do that when shit really hits the fan - when the enemy is too strong and has captured many or even all bases... outsmarting them is the only good option - flanking - and coming in from places they havent thought of - so I agree Kreater - sometimes being a bush-whacking-bad-ass-rambo is mandatory but hey... when I imagine a well-organised squad doing that... wow... about the modes... since I have never been a member of a real online-clan and have played alone except for some "single-serving-friends" in a couple of matches- I prefer the conquest mode but would also really like to play more rush-maps - in this mode I think its of the utmost importance to be in a squad if you want to pull something... concerning death-match... I kind of miss the sense in that but hey - sure I can imagine taking some guys down there too for training oh and the "cod-style player"... that sounds interesting - I never really played COD since the absence of vehicles in battles just really hurts in my head... but if its right what you are suggesting - that the teaming there is also worse than in BF... well thats one more reason for me to stick with the real thing then looking foward to kick some rear-ends with you guys!

cool, I was in the US Army for 3 years and Army Reserves for 5 as a wheeled vehicle mechanic.
I mainly play rush, and right now am mainly playing the vietnam pack trying to get the last few trophies. I am with you on the vehicles and enjoy them more than the tdm style play.

Actually its almost widely understood that CoD players have NO team player skills and only care about their own stats rather than the team itself and winning. In this game it doesn't work. That type of player will outscore/outkill everyone on the team but lose the match. In this game you have to work as a team to win. If figured out a way to balance them and that's why I have a better than average KDR and win/loss ratio.

exactly Taboo - nothing like heavy vehicles for combat... at least most times So you are a real engineer too... wow that sets the standards even higher about the nam pack... yeah thanks to the great sony policies I wasted 15 bugs on that... Since I am german but prefer english as a language - I needed to have an american psn account - because sony doesent give you the option to enter germany as your country of residence and english as your language ( I guess in sonys understanding its not possible for a german to speak another language than german...) anyway I bought us-psn credits - got the us-add-on - but cant play it with my version of BFBC2... at least I learned out of it - my us-le of BF3 is ordered at amazon.com - 40 bugs shipping and import fees.. but hey - Ill be able to load addons... I love sony but also hate them sometimes... kinda reminds me of something... hey Kreater - by balance you mean the thing you posted earlier - about you sometimes playing rambo and other times as a team-based-engineer? sounds good to me -even here balance is - as almost everywhere else in life the answer - what I love particularly about BF is that no mattter what you are after - may it be either your own stats or the overall victory of the fight - you are always better off as a team player - getting all the bonuses and such I have read that the new maps in BF3 are supposed to be the biggest ever... but the checkpoints are still pretty close to each other - that way cqc guys still have their way - and flanking will most certainly become more important... but I wonder if its not going to be a bit too empty at the outskirts of some huge maps... has someone played BF3 yet? beta or E3 or something?

I haven't played BF3 yet.....but I've seen every video out there so far....I spent about 2 hours one day watching every video they've put out so far...I plan on playing Support for the most part...laying down heavy fire and passing out ammo....
Kreater...I'm Mexican too! haha....sounds like we have a good mix of people here...
I really hope we can all get together and really play as a team...with good STATEEGEREE.....everyone watching each others backs......reviving..replenishing...calling in mortar strikes...I have a good feeling about BF3...I call dibs on the little birds!

I was sent an alpha code for the BF3 PC Beta...hard to tell how good it will be...the graphics weren't polished as much...plus every PC runs different...then all the servers seemed to be in Europe so I had a horrible connection...basically i just walked around and looked at stuff...the APC looked cool..and the subway station was frantic...lots of firefights and ppl hiding around corners.

When I get to a PC ill let you know a few examples on what im talking about. Most of my team based tactics work best for conquest, but some can apply to SDM which is what most of us main.
